Big Little Lies Season 2, Episode 5 preview: Is the group crumbling under pressure?

In the latest episode of Big Little Lies, Renata faces the facts of Gordon’s legal blunders while attempting to help Celeste through her own battles.
Three episodes remain in the enticing second chapter of the Monterey Five’s story, and the first of those three episodes finds the group facing increased pressure. Big Little Lies continues to put Renata through the wringer, as Gordon’s legal mess forces her to deal with the unappealing fallout. In the midst of Renata’s hard look at her life, she lends a helping hand to Celeste, who could certainly use one with Mary Louise slapping her with a custody suit.
Elsewhere in the latest episode of Big Little Lies, Celeste and Jane’s sons communicate their curiosity about Perry in some healthy and unhealthy ways. As heard in the promo, the boys wonder if they will turn out like their father, having learned of his history of violence. Meanwhile, Madeline and Ed continue their cold war while Bonnie struggles with her mother’s health crisis by reliving painful and unpleasant memories the two share. Maybe then we’ll get some insight into their relationship.
