6. Deadpool and the Fantastic Four

Disney purchased Fox, which in turn gave Marvel Studios the right to incorporate X-Men and Fantastic Four characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the next phase of the MCU to be split between cosmic and earthbound threats then this would open the door for Deadpool and Fantastic Four to join Spider-Man in a future film.

The death of Tony Stark was a pivotal moment in the MCU and there is now an opening for a rich and intelligent hero to take his spot. Add that to the now vacant Avengers tower, and the introduction of Reed Richards and the rest of Marvel’s first family makes perfect sense.

More from Marvel Movies

If repurposed for the heroes, the Avengers tower could become the Baxter Building which houses the Fantastic Four. If future MCU movies decide to introduce these characters, then watching Johnny Storm and Peter Parker team up on the big screen in Spider-Man 3 would be a first.

Spider-Man has also gotten new suits for each movie, and watching a billionaire genius like Reed Richards improve Tony Stark’s nanotech to create Spider-Man’s iconic Fortune costume would not be out of the realm of possibility.

So far in the MCU, Peter Parker’s solo trilogy has had Tony Stark acting as a father figure and Quentin Beck acting as a cool uncle but with him the third film introduces a character that could be like Parker’s wonky older cousin in Wade Wilson aka Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds).

The events of Spider-Man: Far From Home set up Spider-Man as a wanted man, so the Merc with a Mouth could be someone who is out to get the wall-crawler. With Deadpool being a comedic character and these Spider-Man films having a comedic tone, this would make Spider-Man 3 enter buddy-comedy territory. If woven together correctly, a SpideyPool film could work as a third installment of Deadpool and Spider-Man.
