iZombie series finale: Who lived and who died?
The iZombie series finale wrapped up storylines and brought some deaths, resurrections, and new life. Who lived and who died?
Like any series finale, there are going to be some people who are disappointed with the iZombie series finale. At times it did feel rushed, but in a way, that was the beauty of it. It kept us on our toes, dealing with characters quickly and in a poetic way.
With the show now over, you’re likely wondering whether Liv became human, whether our core characters survived, and whether anyone got their happy endings? Let’s look at those who lived and died in the iZombie series finales.
The deaths

There were a fair few zombie deaths throughout the episode. There were also some human deaths. The first major death was Peyton Charles. After finding a way to get the kids out, she was shot by one of Blaine’s guys. She did manage to kill the guy at the same time, but the kids had to leave her behind.
Don’t worry! Peyton made it to the end. Blaine scratched her to turn her into a zombie. With the creation of the cure, she was then turned back into human and lived with Ravi. Yes, Ravi survived to the very end, because he deserved a happy ending after everything that happened.
As for Blaine and Don-E, they sort of died. Both ended up at the bottom of the well that Blaine’s dad was once trapped down. Don-E pushed Blaine down there after finding out from Peyton’s vision that Blaine was responsible for Darcy’s murder and then Liv knocked Don-E down believing Peyton to be dead.

Technically, they’re not dead. Zombies can survive that until they’re put out of their misery. What I’m intrigued about is whether someone would take them brains or whether Blaine and Don-E were left to turn Romero.
Out of Renegade’s mission, Graham was killed. He did get an important shot off before it happened, though.
You see, Major and Ravi needed someone to turn zombie live on air to let everyone know that this cure was out. Johnny Frost refused, so Major took it upon himself to do so. Enzo was there at the time, and Major offered Enzo the chance to shoot him everywhere but the head. If Major died from the body shots, he was human.
However, Ravi switched out the vials of cure. Enzo was injected with the cure and Graham was able to get the shot off to kill the French leader of the zombie radicals.

And yes, plenty of zombie radicals and human terrorists were killed. It’s not clear what happened to Dolly, but she did kill her zombie son to show just how fanatical and racist she was.
Finally, there was a sad death that didn’t really deserve to happen. Michelle was in the morgue when a suicide bomber ran in. Closest to the blast, she was killed but Liv managed to survive. Michelle’s son was raised by Clive and Dale in the end.
It looks like Clive took responsibility as a father and I’m glad to see that Dale accepted him considering the circumstances. The boy was raised with Clive and Dale’s daughter, Liv.
Who lived?
Going through the list of those who died, you can pretty much guess who lived. When the show took a jump 10 years into the future, we quickly learned that Clive and Dale were still together and co-captains of the SFPD. The now fully human Ravi and Peyton were married and happy, although it doesn’t sound like there are kids for these two (and I respect that decision for them to focus on careers instead). Ravi was the head of the CDC and Peyton the D.A. of Atlanta.
What about Liv and Major and the zombie kids? With the cure out, most zombies took it. However, those who had been scratched to avoid their terminal illnesses killing them were allowed to remain a zombie.
The 10-year jump made it sound like Liv and Major had died. That was a story the three friends had told, but it was revealed at the end that Liv and Major remained zombies and were living on Zombie Island with their zombie kids who would never grow up. They made a choice not to take the cure (something Liv had wanted all this time) and were happy together.
It was a happy ending for our main good characters. I never expected it from Rob Thomas, especially for Major and Liv, but I’m glad to see that “All’s Well that Ends Well.”
