Critical Acclaim: Contagion may have had a large cast, but it didn’t win any major awards. The movie is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with an 84% critics score.
About the Role: Jude Law plays Alan Krumwiede in the Kate Winslet and Matt Damon-led movie. He’s a vlogger, who at one point believes that he’s been infected with the disease and has managed the symptoms and overcome it with over-the-counter medication.
Alan is an excellent example of not believing everything you’ve read or seen on the internet. It turns out that he was never infected with the superflu after all!
Simply the Best: His role was small, but an important one. Even today, we believe so much that is online but it’s important to do our own research and listen to multiple sources. And it’s because of this that the role deserves to make it on the list of best Jude Law movies.
Overall, the movie is another superbug medical disaster. We’ve seen them all before, but this one at least had a realistic starting point and development.
