The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is taking us back to our childhoods and into a visually stunning fantasy world. But what else is going on in the new Netflix prequel series?

The original Dark Crystal is considered by many to be a staple film. It’s a classic, epic, timeless fantasy story we all know of. Netflix is about to release its prequel in series form, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. And most people are pretty psyched out.

The show has just made its visually enriched European debut, and the rest of us can look forward to the full release on Netflix in just one more week. The trailers have been captivating and promise that the new series will be true – and then some – to our beloved original.

With this new little treasure given to us by Netflix, we saw a lot more of that world, the puppetry, imagination, and storyline we are thrilled to digest as soon as possible. Once we watched this, we realized that there’s more than meets the eye in this new cinematic gem.

Well if that doesn’t convince you, don’t worry because there’s much more. The show is set to release this week and there is a ton to know about it ahead of that. If you haven’t done a rewatch (or first watch for some), now is the time. There may be a few things that could enhance your experience if you check it out before you see the new stuff.

I did this, myself, and believe me, it was worth it. With Age of Resistance right around the figurative corner, most streaming services are currently offering the original right now. I saw it on Netflix, of course, as they are bringing us this fresh masterpiece.
