You know her as Mera in the DCEU, but Amber Heard has been making waves in Hollywood long before Aquaman debuted. Here are her 10 greatest films so far!

Amber Heard will always hold a special place in my heart for being one of my first female celebrity crushes. Plus, she’s incredibly vocal about her feminism and activism, which I have always admired.

She is an actress who ascended the ranks towards the A-List for the last several years. I watched her when she was doing small indie flicks like Remember the Daze. Then she moved on to cult horror movies like All the Boys Love Mandy Lane and The Ward. Next came her iconic performance as Queen Mera in DC films Justice League and Aquaman.

I even remember her short-lived CW series, Hidden Palms, which I was wholly invested in at the time it aired. But her breakthrough roles came later with Sean Faris-lead boxing drama, Never Back Down, and stoner comedy Pineapple Express, starring James Franco and Seth Rogen. Most recently, Heard starred in two independent films, Her Smell, and Gully.

But perhaps the project of hers I’m most excited for is The Stand. Amber has been cast as a lead alongside James Marsden in the upcoming CBS All Access series. Aside from that, we can also anticipate her return as Mera to the DCEU in the Aquaman sequel!

But without further ado, let’s take a look at ten of Amber Heard’s best films (so far).
