In the franchise opener, we get to know Cindy Prescott (portrayed by Neve Campbell) a high school senior who is being stalked by a deranged killer in a generic Halloween costume. Many of her friends are targeted along the way, and it’s up to her, Gale Weathers (a local news reporter played by Courtney Cox), and Dewey Riley (the town’s deputy played by David Arquette) to stop the murderous rampage.

Scream 2 (1997)

Due to the surprise success of the first installment, a sequel to Scream was rushed to production the following year. This time, we find Sidney in college, trying to escape her bloody past, but unfortunately, some things just won’t stay dead. Scream 2 follows Sidney and co as they attempt to get to the bottom of whoever is targeting them, and others, as they hack and slash their way through the quiet college town copycat-style.

Scream 3 (2000)

In the last film of the original trilogy, Sidney tries to live a normal life, isolated from society, but someone refuses to let her exist in peace. The events of her life have been turned into a hit movie series, and one by one, the cast members are turning up dead. Sidney, alongside Gale and Dewey, travel to Hollywood to finally put an end to all the terror.
