In the latest episode of Riverdale, Veronica’s secret sister arrives in time for Hiram and Hermione’s double trial as Betty joins the Junior FBI program.

The trouble isn’t over for the Lodge family, especially as Riverdale rolls out the red carpet for Hiram and Hermione’s double trial and the arrival of Veronica’s surprise half-sister Hermosa. Naturally, Veronica finds herself caught in the middle of her parents as their legal battles come to a shocking head. But one can only assume that reuniting (or meeting for the first time?) with her previously unmentioned sister doesn’t help her concerns about the future of her family.

Elsewhere in the latest episode of Riverdale, Archie becomes the unsuspecting target of the town’s local businesses as a newbie on the block with his nonprofit community center. Perhaps his ongoing feud with some gangs isn’t helping his case.

Meanwhile, Betty enlists Kevin to join Charles’ Junior FBI Training Program, but what they really need to do is keep a closer eye on Charles. Also, Jughead starts to put the pieces together regarding his family’s broken history.

More from CW

Has Veronica met her sister before, or is Hermosa’s visit to Riverdale the first time the two have had contact? Why does Hermosa show up in town now, and what is her dynamic with the family like? Does Veronica welcome her with open arms? How does the trial fare for Hiram and Hermione?

Why is Archie the object of the local business’ frustration, and what methods do they use to target him and the community center? Has Betty become suspicious of Charles yet? Since he’s listening in on Betty, is he sending the tapes? Will Jughead learn more about his MIA grandfather?
