4. 101 Dalmatians: The Series

For the second series on my list, this is another one in the same vein as Aladdin. Similar to the previous one, this is another head-scratcher as to why the series isn’t going to be on Disney Plus as this one also premiered between Hercules and The Little Mermaid. While 101 Dalmatians aren’t as beloved as Aladdin, there is definitely an audience for it out there.

What’s 101 Dalmatians: The Series about?: Once again, this might be a series that you could have missed out on. The series is based on the original animated film along with the live-action remake from 1996. Unlike the films though, the series focuses on three of the puppies: Lucky, Rolly and Cadpig as they’re adjusting to life on the farm. Similar to Aladdin, the series features cameos from characters from the film including Cruella De Vil, Nanny, Roger and Anita. This series definitely had a different tone from the original film with the focus being more on humor.

Will 101 Dalmatians: The Series be added to Disney+ eventually?: Personally, I don’t think that Disney+ is going to add this to the service. Part of the reason is that they’re adding 101 Dalmatian Street. More than likely, they’re going to replace the older series with that one and likely find a reason to not add it. Then again, Disney might surprise us so we’ll see. For now, it’s a safe bet to assume that they won’t.
