4. What’s next for Miranda and Ben?

Poor, Miranda. As much as I’ve strongly disliked Bailey at particular parts of this season, my heart went out to her during the Grey’s Anatomy fall finale. She didn’t even have to say any words to Ben. He knew exactly what had happened.

This isn’t going to be easy to come back from. Considering Bailey likely suffered a late-stage miscarriage, she’s likely to need to go through the whole birth process. It’s a haunting and difficult moment for any woman, something that New Amsterdam recently showed.

Can Bailey and Ben’s relationship survive this? I hope it can. I hope it makes them stronger, but we’ve seen what a loss can do to parents. Just look at April and Jackson.

3. What’s Maggie going to do next?

Maggie can’t trust her judgment. Because of that, she quit her job at Grey Sloan Memorial.

So, what’s next? Is that it for the gifted heart surgeon? Do you really think she’s just going to sit in the house and wallow in self-pity?

Alex already made it clear that there’s a job for her at Pac North. He wants Maggie to join his hospital. There’s a high chance that she’ll end up working there, where the pressure isn’t as high as it is at Grey Sloan Memorial. That will give her a chance to get her confidence back as she helps to grow the cardio team.
