2. Who will Teddy choose?

Teddy is still stuck between Tom and Owen. She wants to be with Owen but Tom constantly gets in the way. Well, sort of. He doesn’t stop the two from being together but he tries to show that he’s the better guy for her.

At the end of the Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 fall finale, Teddy tells him to stop trying to win her back. Becoming the chief of her department isn’t going to win. But Tom allowed her to rant and then brought up some interesting arguments.

Owen hasn’t proposed despite the child the two have together. Tom is ready to get married right now. He loves Teddy that much. As cocky as Tom can be, he’s always been wonderful with the women he gains a connection to, and I loved this scene. Part of me wants Teddy to choose Tom.

Hey, if Amelia is having Owen’s baby, there’s a chance that Teddy will have every reason to turn to Tom. It’s Link I’ll feel the sorriest for if this is how this weird love pentagram will turn out.

1. Will the Irish doc fit in?

Right now, the jury is still out on whether the new Chief of Peds is any good. He’s arrogant and likes things done his way, but there’s clearly more to him underneath. Plus, it turns out that Cristina sent him towards Grey Sloan Memorial, which suggests that he’s extremely good at his job.

We find out that his nickname is McWidow. That nickname certainly suits The Twisted Sisters’ sense of humor, but does this mean the doc is around for the long-term? Will he fit in with the rest of the docs? I could see him rubbing a few people the wrong way!

Most importantly, is he going to cause friction with DeLuca? He clearly has some sort of interest in Meredith, and not just from a professional point of view. He also has kids of his own and is at her level of experience in work, which helps to shut down any “you don’t treat me as your equal” arguments.
