And you can breathe again! Wow, what a fall finale. Now all eyes are on when Supernatural Season 15 will return in 2020. When is the midseason premiere?
That was one hell of a Supernatural fall finale. We had returning characters, hilarious moments, and some downright intense parts to the story. Of course, we also ended with a cliffhanger that leaves us needing more. So when do we get a resolution to that cliffhanger?
How long are we waiting for Supernatural Season 15 to return in 2020? Well, there’s isn’t too much longer to wait.
After the fall finale, The CW brought the promo for the midseason premiere. This is a standard measure, bringing us the return date for the show. We’ll see Supernatural Season 15 return on Jan. 16. This is a week earlier than I expected, which suggests there’s a slightly longer break before the show moves to Mondays.
Titled “The Trap,” we’ll pick up with the story where the fall finale left us. Again, this is pretty standard, but the intensity is raised. This midseason premiere sees Sam dealing with God, while Dean and Castiel head into Purgatory to get the Leviathan blossom they need to complete the ritual to put God away for eternity.

That is if Michael is telling the truth, of course. Could he be playing Team Free Will and actually be working for God? That’s something I guess we’ll have to wait until the second half of the season to find out.
The show will only be back for a couple of weeks. It’s then going on a slightly extended break as Katy Keene takes over the Thursday night timeslot on Feb. 6. Supernatural will return then in March and move to Mondays.
