Losing a relationship doesn’t necessarily mean someone is a loser on Temptation Island.

It’s more likely that people watch Temptation Island and perceive that someone who comes away with a relationship is a real winner. After all, that’s the format for all the “searching for love” reality shows. Addition by subtraction, however, is a very real possibility.

2. Kate is was a winner.

There is zero doubt whatsoever that Kate was the most conflicted participant on Temptation Island. She hated and doubted it from day one. Each and every time she saw David edge towards infidelity, she got more and more introspective and jaded about the show.

More from Reality TV

Whether or not David did or didn’t kiss Samantha (I believe he did and is lying) is immaterial. There is zero doubt whatsoever that during the show, he took a shower with Samantha, had a threesome with Samantha and Payton (David alleges no intercourse), got multiple lap-dances from Toneata, and ultimately had sex with Toneata.

Kate left the island without him, but apparently they’re back together. So she was a winner because she left him, but may not really be winning any more if she believes him at all.

3. Gavin is a winner.

So he got drunk and sucked some toes. Gross? Sure. Unforgivable? Absolutely not. Other than that, Gavin was a gentle, hands-off teddy bear the entire time on the show. Esonica was completely rotten to him at the final bonfire, snarling and barely looking his way like he was the one who committed the biggest relationship sin. Hint: He wasn’t, because Esonica had sex with Kareem.

There is zero doubt whatsoever that Esonica is high drama, and holds everything Gavin does against him. I’d put money on the fact that she constantly yelled at him and berated him while they were together. He’s better off without her guilt projection.
