The Crisis On Infinite Earths event is still waging on, but there is a life for Team Flash following the epic battle. Season 6 will be back before you know it. Here’s when The Flash returns with new episodes in 2020.

Before the “Crisis On Infinite Earths” event got into full swing, The Flash wrapped up its season 6 storyline involving Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) with a swift defeat of their cannibalistic foe. Team Flash managed to capture the villainous metahuman in “The Last Temptation of Barry Allen Pt. 2” using a device already inside their lab, subsequently bringing peace back to Central City. Sadly, we know that peace didn’t last and it looks like there’s more turmoil on the horizon.

Recently, TVLine got the exclusive on an image of Iris West (Candace Patton) in the season 6 midseason premiere entitled “Marathon.” In the photo, we see Iris’ arm is bandaged up for an undetermined reason and she has a very determined look on her face as she sits in STAR Labs’ medical bay.

No further details are included, though it’s possible Iris is recovering following Crisis. She isn’t on the frontlines like her husband or Batwoman (Ruby Rose), but that doesn’t necessarily mean Iris is safe from all harm.

Whatever the case may be, Mrs. West-Allen is back in STAR Labs and we can safely conclude that at least one world survived the crisis. There’s no way to say which one, but our guess is a Prime Earth will be constructed in the end. Perhaps the Monitor will undo everything that happened and return the Multiverse to its’ prior state.

As far as release dates go, “Marathon” will premiere on Feb. 4, 2020. Season 6, Episode 11 also serves as the midseason premiere, meaning a new adventure will kick-off at that point. One theory circulating online suggests the mysterious group turning metahumans into brainwashed assassins will come to the forefront. Could it be the ASA?

While there’s no way to confirm such a scenario, the notion of Black Lightning’s ASA (American Security Agency) becoming a part of The Flash’s world sounds plausible. As long as Crisis On Infinite Earths includes some variation on the five main Earths merging into one — the way it did in the comics — we could see elements of Black Lightning on The Flash and vice-versa.

Hopefully, there’s truth to said in this claim because it would be nice to see Black Lightning finally become a part of the Arrowverse. The CW included all of its’ DC shows in the massive crossover that kicked off in 2019 and there’s no better time to begin establishing connections between Black Lightning and The Flash.
