A Million Little Things has plenty of heartbreak and loss. Can we see some positivity by putting Gary and Maggie back together, please?

A Million Little Things isn’t afraid to pull at our heartstrings. It gives us loss, sadness, heartache, drama, and awkward moments. There have been happy moments, such as Katherine and Eddie getting back together and Sophie moving back home, but there’s one happy moment we really need right now. Can Maggie and Gary get back together, please?

Let’s be honest; this is one of the best relationships on the series. They are two broken people who make each other better when they’re together. Normally, putting two broken people together would be disastrous, but they try to be better people for each other.

I understand why Maggie reacted the way she did when she found the engagement ring. I also understand why Gary was so hurt at Maggie’s reaction. Spending some time apart did make sense for them. Maggie did need to figure out who she was without cancer, but it was always clear there would be a place in her life for Gary.

The most recent episode of A Million Little Things, “the sleepover,” proved that. When Maggie needed someone with her to get her cancer screening results, she initially wanted Gary. Instead, she called Delilah. Of course, Gary was worried about the results. He knows what Maggie’s fear would be like being through it himself. Unlike Gary, Maggie has once had the results come back to say the cancer was back. This wasn’t just anxiousness but a form of PTSD for Maggie.

Finding out Maggie was in the clear was a visible relief to Gary. This wasn’t just a friend’s reaction but someone who loves her. And we know he loves her based on the daydream he had in the elevator.

The problem for Gary is fear. He’s scared of being hurt again. That makes sense, but at the same time, he needs to take that leap of faith before he spirals again. In A Million Little Things Season 2, Episode 15, Maggie is going to head out on a date and Gary accidentally walks in on it. Naturally, he’s jealous.

This is a couple that can’t be friends. We need to see them back together and be the best versions of themselves for each other.
