We are down to the top eight and The Biggest Loser may have evened the scales a bit. The one person who has been dominating has finally found his kryptonite.

Perhaps the saltiest contestant on The Biggest Loser lost last week. The weight loss has plateaued a bit, and coaches Steve Cook and Erica Lugo must find new ways to motivate their teams. Thus far there Jim continues to run away with the competition, and it’s not even close.

On to the ratings…

1. Micah Collum

Team: Blue
Starting Weight: 326 lbs.
Breakdown: Micah really thinks he has a lot more work to do. Very positive outlook on things. That positive attitude drives him to destroy all the other challengers in the AMRAP challenge. For those unaware, AMRAP is As Many Reps As Possible, and he beats most others by dozens if not a hundred reps.

Shockingly, Micah admits to being a very heavy drinker. Two 4 Lokos every day. Yikes. How does this dude get up for work in the morning?! For going beast mode this episode, he gets Jim’s top spot for the time being.
Weight Loss: This episode, 7 lbs.; Total, 44 lbs.

2. Jim DiBattista

Team: Red
Starting Weight: 385 lbs.
Breakdown: We may have finally found Jim’s weakness. He’s competing against other people, and he’s just not one of those people who float very well. His competition says “Yeah bouy!” (sorry). This episode isn’t exactly his best either, because he drops out fourth fastest and punches the bench. It appears Jim couldn’t pace himself and his breathing hindered his leg muscles.
Weight Loss: This episode, 7 lbs.; Total, 62 lbs.

3. Teri Aguliar

Team: Red
Starting Weight: 256 lbs.
Breakdown: Teri loves the pool. It’s her second home. She has actually done some triathalon work. So it hits quite hard when she sees herself in a mirror in a bathing suit. She remembers what she used to look like, and it’s very disappointing to her. It’s no shock she destroys everyone else in the pool.

During the step up challenge Teri is a BEAST. She doesn’t stop even remotely close to the rest of her team. Everyone drops way earlier than her, and she draws inspiration from her children to keep battling. Ultimately she ends up with the bronze medal for this challenge, falling only to the two younger guys Micah and Kyle.
Weight Loss: This episode, 4 lbs.; Total, 32 lbs.

4. Kyle Yeo

Team: Blue
Starting Weight: 302 lbs.
Breakdown: Staying motivated during the step-up challenge, Kyle is very motivated. He’s willing to make up for Kim quitting way earlier than anyone else. He takes that message to an extreme level, and goes all the way to second place. He and Micah contribute to a massive win for the team, and potentially a saving effort for Kim…who quit.
Weight Loss: This episode, 5 lbs.; Total, 37 lbs.

5. Megan Hoffman

Team: Blue
Starting Weight: 290 lbs.
Breakdown: Looking at herself in the mirror, Megan obviously doesn’t like what she sees in a bathing suit. Later on the step up challenge, Megan fought hard for her team. At one point it is her, Micah, and Kyle against just Teri. Unfortunately for her, she succumbs to fatigue nearly 20 minutes into the competition. She comes quits just before receiving the bronze medal, and is only beaten by two younger guys and Teri.
Weight Loss: This episode, 5 lbs.; Total, 41 lbs.

6. Kristi McCart

Team: Red
Starting Weight: 264 lbs.
Breakdown: Before the competition even starts, Kristi is already concerned. It should come as no surprise that she is the second to quit in the competition after her hands “cramp.” She is now “Crampy Kristi” for the rest of the show.
Weight Loss: This episode, 7 lbs.; Total, 36 lbs.

7. Kim Davis

Team: Blue
Starting Weight: 242 lbs.
Breakdown: Kim’s “I’m a dirty old lady”-routine comes out yet again, where she mentions the lack of bathing suit and skinny dipping. The step up challenge is a huge disappointment, and she quits before even putting in max effort. She should have been eliminated this episode, but is supported by a strong team.
Weight Loss: This episode, 4 lbs.; Total, 28 lbs.

8. Katarina Bouton

Team: Red
Starting Weight: 293 lbs.
Breakdown: Katarina hits the pool and is finally not wearing those huge, ridiculous earrings. Up until this episode I thought she might actually have extended earlobes or something. During the step up challenge, however, she battles longer than coach does. She dry heaves a bit just before dropping out the third fastest. Her mental/emotional game is not as strong as several others, and cries half the episode.
Weight Loss: This episode, 4 lbs.; Total, 36 lbs.

9. Delores Tomorrow

10. Domenico Brugellis

11. PhiXavier Holmes

12. Robert Richardson
