Starring Hilary Swank, Justin Hartley, and Emma Roberts, the story is loosely based on The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell, a short story from 1924. When 12 strangers wake up in a clearing, they need to figure out how they got there and whether they can trust each other. More importantly, they need to figure out how to survive once they realie that a group of elite hunters are after them.

When one of the hunted decides to fight back, the hunters also then need to figure out how to survive. It really is a most dangerous game.

Reviews are mixed for The Hunt right now. Audiences haven’t had a chance to review just yet, but critics aren’t impressed. It holds a 54% score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing. The negativity comes from it becoming a satire instead of the intense action-thriller that it could be.
