Who is inside Charlotte on Westworld? Season 3, Episode 3 drops some big clues. Spoilers ahead if you’re not caught up with the series.

The identity of Charlotte on Westworld has been a major mystery since the start of the season. Are we learning who is inside Charlotte Hale’s body any time soon? Initially, I didn’t believe so, but Season 3, episode 3 drops some big clues! Have you figured it out yet?

Westworld loves to play mind games with audiences! The series always keeps us guessing and on our toes! Each season finale has been full of surprises and shocking moments, and Season 3 is hitting the ground running with mystery. One of the biggest questions we have so far is who’s inside Charlotte Hale’s body.

After recreating Charlotte Hale’s body, we see Dolores insert one of the brains she was able to get out of Westworld, but whose is it? Who has she programmed inside Charlotte?

More from HBO

In Season 3, Episode 3, “The Absence of Field,” Dolores tells Charlotte what her mission is, after clearing up why she (or he) has to pretend to be Charlotte in the first place. “Charlotte” is hesitant, they are able to recognize who they’re supposed to be and tells Dolores, “she [Charlotte] tried to kill all of us.”

Who is Charlotte? The most popular theory we’ve seen floating around is that Charlotte is Teddy, and I can see why. In “The Absence of Field,” Dolores tells “Charlotte” that she trusts them, they seem to know each other a lot and “Charlotte” even claims not to know what they’d do without Dolores. They even share a cuddle! But is it too easy? Could it truly be Teddy or are we being tricked here (as usual)?

The only other person that comes to mind is The Man in Black (Jimmi Simpson/Ed Harris). This explains the anger “Charlotte” unleashes in the latest episode. Teddy wasn’t violent, well, not until Dolores messed with his program (so I suppose Teddy could still be a possibility), but it’s The Man in Black who has always had this anger inside.
