3. Broad City

No list about TV shows with awesome female friendships would be complete without this next show. First premiering back in 2014, Broad City is one of Comedy Central’s best shows and one a lot of us sorely miss. Featuring five seasons with 50 episodes in total, watching Abbi and Ilana grow as people and as friends made it an easy addition to the list and one you can’t miss.

Broad City follows the lives of two best friends, Abbi and Ilana, in New York City as they’re dealing with the messiness of their 20s, trying to have fun while also figuring out how they want their lives to pan out. If there is one show on here targeted towards millennial viewers, it has to be this one.

In addition to figuring out their lives, the two have a tendency to get high together and get into situations no one could predict. Along the way, we meet their love interests, parents and siblings who play a significant role in some episodes.

Coming up with reasons to watch Broad City is easy. The show’s funny while still being incredibly feminist and raunchy. Throughout their five seasons, they’ve had a lot of funny guest stars including Amy Poehler and Kelly Ripa. Ultimately, Broad City can be a mirror for some viewers out there as we watch the two friends grow together and figure out their paths into adulthood. If for some reason you haven’t watched this show yet, this is one you and your friends should all be queueing up on Hulu.
