Snowpiercer has finally premiered on TNT and we have jumped on board the train! Here are the biggest questions we have after watching Season 1, Episode 1, “First, the Weather Changed.”

The train has taken off! Did you buy a ticket and have already seen the movie and know the gist of it? Or did you jump on the tail and are going into it with fresh eyes? Either way, we are ready to take in the adventures the first episode, “First, the Weather Changed,” has presented.

Please note there are spoilers ahead if you did not watch the first episode. Go catch up on TNT Online before reading on.

“First, the Weather Changed” opens with illustrations narrated by a man we later learn is Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs), the lead rebel of the “tailies,” which is what the people on the last train car are called. Everyone with a ticket is calmly boarding the train, but there’s chaos in the back as those without a ticket are forcing their way in.

Can you blame them? It’s the end of the world and Snowpiercer, a train created by Wilford, is their only chance of survival. The train is 1,001 cars long and it is marvelous inside! It has it all. Pools, bar, a lounge, a school, you name it. But only those with money are able to indulge.

Let’s take off and dive into the three biggest questions we have after watching Season 1, Episode 1, “First, the Weather Changed”:

Who is the killer?

Layton is summoned from the tail to solve a murder mystery! He is hesitant, but knows it’s in his best interest to help. Not to mention, he doesn’t have any other choice. What we want to know is, who’s the killer? Only one episode may have aired, but we are already invested in this!

More from Drama

The killer is intelligent and has a lot of power, and there is no way this was only done by one person. The main killer had help. We can’t wait to get more into this!

The mystery may not immediately be solved (Or will it? No spoilers here!), but there is plenty more to keep us entertained.

What’s with the drawers?

If you watched the movie, you know that the train Snowpiercer has drawers where they keep prisoners and others asleep in there. The movie doesn’t dive into the drawers very much, but the  series will! We’ll soon be learning more about who are in the drawers and why.

Where is Mr. Wilford?

Another big question is about Mr. Wilford. In the movie, there is a Mr. Wilford, and he is portrayed by Ed Harris. The TNT series, however, doesn’t have a leading man. When Melanie (Jennifer Connelly), the head of hospitality, reaches the front of the train, she is address as “Mr. Wilford.”

What happened to the real Mr. Wilford? Could he be dead? A prisoner? Thanks to the movie, we know he is real, but the series did tease that it will be different from the movie. How different, is the question.

We’ve watched the series already, but will only be able to tease and not spoil any details! What do you think has happened to Mr. Wilford? Don’t worry, the second episode will provide a few more answers while also keeping plenty of mystery fresh.
