Crackle horror film The Clearing gets an early June premiere date
Crackle recently announced an upcoming original horror movie titled The Clearing. Per an official press release, the Crackle horror film The Clearing will get an early June premiere date for all users, but those with an Amazon Fire Stick will get to watch the movie a little earlier.
What is Crackle horror film The Clearing about?
The Clearing is a zombie thriller starring Liam McIntyre of Spartacus fame. Somewhat similar to the plot of The Last of Us, Tom takes his daughter, Mia, on a weekend camping trip when a viral outbreak begins to ravage the country, leaving behind deadly zombies in its wake.
Tom wants to reconnect with his daughter after not spending enough time with her, causing marital strife between him and his wife. Unfortunately, when they reach the woods, they find themselves trapped by zombies.

The cast also stars Aundrea Smith as McIntyre’s daughter. You may recognize her from the Disney+ series Diary of a Future President. Steven Swadling from Kickboxer and G.L.O.W. actress Sydelle Noel star alongside them, Noel will play Tom’s wife.
Crackle horror film The Clearing: Who is directing and writing the film?
The Crackle exclusive film is written by writer-director David Matalon, who wanted to pay homage to famous zombie tropes while mixing in innovative filmmaking techniques.
“I couldn’t be more excited for The Clearing to have its premiere on Crackle, and I’m grateful for their passion and enthusiasm for our movie. I’m thrilled to take viewers on this action-packed ride,” said the director.
When will Crackle horror film The Clearing premiere?
For those who have the Crackle Channel on their Amazon Fire TV devices, you’ll be able to watch the movie a little early, on May 25, thanks to a partner exclusive between the two companies.
Everyone else will need to wait until June 4 for the movie to debut on the Crackle channel.
