2. Sweet Magnolias Season 2: Is there a romance on the horizon for Dana Sue?

Speaking of Dana Sue, at the end of Season 1 we were introduced to Ronnie, Dana Sue’s ex, and Annie’s father. While Ronnie was looking to rekindle their relationship, Dana Sue had called him to town to ask for a divorce so that she could get a business loan and buy out Micah from the restaurant.

While it’s still unclear why Dana Sue and Ronnie’s relationship ended, it doesn’t look like the couple will be reuniting any time soon anyway as Dana Sue seems to have set her sights on a new man.

Upon going to meet an old man about some produce, Dana Sue was pleasantly surprised to find that the man was young and relatively handsome. From the get-go, the two individuals were smitten, and all it took was an afternoon drive in a Skylark, a classic car that Dana Sue’s dad had owned, for the two to lock lips. Is it too good to be true?

Despite telling Helen that she’s perfectly happy with the life she and Annie have together, could the accident change what she deems important in Sweet Magnolias Season 2? If so, how will Annie respond, seeing as she still seems to harbor resentment toward her mother for her parents’ breakup?
