3. Nev Schulman & Jenna

Last week, Carrie Ann Inaba said the world needed more of Nev Schulman’s dancing, and boy, did he deliver! In their intro package this week, Nev and Jenna celebrated last week’s performance that put them at number four on the leaderboard and talked about Nev’s success with Catfish.

In 2010, the MTV documentary Catfish followed Nev and his brother as they tried to track down a twentysomething woman that had befriended Nev online only to find out that he’d gotten deceived.

Two years later, MTV premiered Catfish: The TV Show, a show that follows Nev as he helps others track down people that they’ve been talking to online and which lead to the edition of the term “catfish” to the dictionary.

However, now he’s traded in his cyber-sleuth cap for some ballroom shoes.

This week, Nev and Jenna danced the Cha-Cha to Will Shepard’s “Set The Night Alight.” Although judge Derek cautioned Nev to watch the movement of his shoulders, he would nevertheless call the performance “solid.”

Bruno would concur, calling Nev’s footwork “nimble” and his hip-work “mind-boggling” while also praising the presentation and showmanship. Lastly, Carrie Ann would call Nev an incredible dancer, zeroing in on his ability to know how to use his hands while dancing.

Nev and Jenna, like Justina and Sasha, would find themselves receiving straight sevens from the judges, making their total for the week 21 out of 30, with a combined total, for both weeks of 42 out of 60.
