Fans shade Kailyn Lowry after she explains why she always has different friends

It goes without saying that finding lasting friendships isn’t always easy, especially for those who live  their professional and personal lives in the oh-so-public eye, 24/7. Teen Mom 2‘s Kailyn Lowry is no exception, of course.

On Instagram, the mother-of-four recently did a little Q&A with her fans. Seemingly, no question was off limits, even if not everyone could get on-board with her questionable answers.

When one person asked “Why do you change friends so much?,” Kailyn Lowry didn’t shy away from that reality, admitting it was true that she changed friends often, but not holding herself accountable for any possible wrong doing on her part. She answered, “Unfortunately, I’ve moved a lot, but thankfully, I’ve been able to meet new people.”

Kailyn added, “But secondly, a lot of my ‘friends’ have done me dirty, so…”

Needless to say, many people had a problem with this answer. On Reddit, a heated discussion about Kailyn Lowry’s friendships ensued afterwards. Many Teen Mom fans claimed the question about her friendships was legit, but said Kailyn’s answer wasn’t entirely honest.

It takes two to tango, after all. And most people seem to think the reality star should’ve taken way more responsibility regarding what went wrong. But she didn’t.

One user reposted the questionable Q&A moment and replied, “Sure, Jan. It has nothing to do with you and your faults.” Another person gave credit where credit was due, replying, “I also think it’s somewhat normal to change friends as you go through seasons in life. However, I think Kail changes friends sooo quickly it’s not normal.”

Naturally, not everyone online was as kind. “Normal” or not, mostly everyone seemingly agreed that Kailyn did not hold herself accountable for what went wrong in those past friendships.

Someone else on Reddit replied, “I’m sure she’s done plenty of her friends dirty too.” Another claimed, “Everything is always everyone else’s fault.” And a surprising number of people alleged that her reaction proves that Kailyn and Jenelle Evans are way more alike than either one cares to admit or realize.

Unpopular opinion: Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry might one day become good friends, bonding over unique things like how not many other people really know what it’s like to walk in their Teen Mom 2 shoes. But considering Kailyn’s latest take on past friendships, I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
