Fans of Katie Price know the UK reality star is having a rough go of things as of late. Unfortunately, her eldest son Harvey is allegedly gaining an unhealthy amount of weight due to having Prader–Willi syndrome. The 18-year-old is nearly at 29 stone, according to Katie.

This week, she gave a candid interview on how fearful she is for her son’s life, explaining how he is constantly eating and has an overactive appetite. Apparently, she’s had to lock up the refrigerator and snack cabinets in efforts to keep Harvey out.

Katie is a single mom to children Harvey Price, Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther Andre, Junior Savva Andreas Andre, Jett Riviera Hayler, and Bunny Hayler. Clearly, Harvey’s current health an upsetting situation for the mom-of-five.

In another reveal, according to The Sun, Katie also explained how Harvey reacts when she denies him food, in case anyone was wondering why she didn’t just easily regulate his eating to solve the problem.

She said:

"He’ll smash things up if you say no. I’ve had to re-plaster my walls because he’ll bash holes in them with his head. He knows what nice things taste of. I’ll give him sweet potato chips instead of real fries but he knows the difference. It’s not what he eats in the day, it’s what he eats when I don’t see him. I’ve tried hiding food but he’ll find it. You can’t leave food or leftovers on the side or he’ll eat it, and he’s really quick too. He even eats in his sleep. He’ll walk downstairs and eat whatever he can find. We’ve even found him rummaging through friends’ bags for food."

If you weren’t aware, Prader–Willi syndrome is a rare genetic disorder. According to Prader–Willi Syndrome Association, it can cause “small hands and feet, abnormal growth and body composition (small stature, very low lean body mass, and early-onset childhood obesity), hypotonia (weak muscles) at birth, insatiable hunger, extreme obesity, and intellectual disability.”

Needless to say, Katie Price needs major help handling this situation. While she’s taken care of Harvey all of his life, this seems to be more of a worrisome problem that needs action to be taken immediately. Considering Harvey was hospitalized just this past summer, his health needs to be a top priority.

If Katie is really serious about fearing for Harvey’s life and not being able to restrict his eating, we can only hope a doctor or trained professional can step in and lend a hand.
