Young and Pregnant’s Ashley Jones joins Teen Mom 2 cast

Teen Mom 2 is getting a new member as Ashley Jones crosses over to the franchise after debuting on Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant in 2018. Jones, who shares a three-year-old daughter with Bariki Smith, will make an immediate impact on the show as she looks ahead to some big events in her life.

After being on-again and off-again all the way back to the first season of Young + Pregnant, Jones and Smith are finally set to tie the knot and we can only imagine that the planning and festivities are part of her narrative on the show. There’s also every reason to assume that Jones’ daughter Holly will play a role in her parents’ big day.

Jones will presumably take the place of Chelsea Houska, who announced in November that she is leaving the franchise after 10 seasons.

Unlike many of the Teen Mom franchise cast members, Jones is seemingly one of the least problematic. While her relationship with Holly’s father has been contentious over the years, she has managed to avoid a great deal of the problems that other Teen Mom 2 cast members have encountered, such as being arrested or failing to pay taxes.

Jones twerked on Smith for his birthday back in March, and a tour of her California condo revealed a stripper pole in the garage and boxed wine at the ready. The 23-year-old reality star has been open about her past as a stripper previously, so at the very least we can expect her addition on Teen Mom 2 to bring honesty and fun to the table.

When the news broke, Jones took to Instagram to make an announcement of sorts, writing, “About to make teen mom 2 watchable again.”
