Chelsea Houska reportedly quits Teen Mom 2

MTV fans will remember Chelsea Houska from way back when during 16 & Pregnant. The South Dakota native appeared on the series when she was a high school student dating her then-boyfriend, Adam Lind. She decided to drop out of school when she became pregnant, and her episode showed the difficulties to come.

Chelsea gave birth to Aubree on September 7, 2009. Although she and Adam didn’t work out in the end, the reality star then went on to score a leading role on MTV’s Teen Mom 2, which she’s been a part of since.

Over the years, some major life changes have gone down for Chelsea Houska, which we’ve gotten to watch on our screens. Now, she’s married to Cole DeBoer, and they’ve had two kids. As we previously reported, Chelsea is currently pregnant with her fourth child!

Is Chelsea leaving Teen Mom 2?

Chelsea has become a fan-favorite over the years, but now it’s been reported that she is saying goodbye to the franchise that made her famous.

According to The Ashley, Chelsea’s final episode will be the Teen Mom 2 season 10a reunion. A source explained:

"Chelsea told everyone that she has decided that it’s best for her family if they move on from the show, and that it was a really hard decision, but that she feels like a weight has been lifted from her shoulders. The girls were all supportive of her decision, but no one else announced that they were leaving. It’s obvious Chelsea’s life doesn’t really fit the show anymore, though."

Now that Chelsea will be leaving, that leaves only two of the original Teen Mom 2 cast members left: Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer. Fans will know that Briana DeJesus was added to the show in 2017, and Jade Cline was brought in as Jenelle Evans‘ replacement in 2019.

The Ashley also notes that a replacement for Chelsea has not been disclosed as of yet, claiming that the network has not chosen someone to take her place.

We’re super sad to see Chelsea Houska leave the series, but we’re eager to see how she’ll make the announcement to the public herself.
