Teen Mom 2’s Chelsea Houska shares her due date, but not her baby’s name
The Teen Mom 2 franchise is about to get bigger as OG star Chelsea Houska expects her fourth child, and in a recent Instagram Live video she revealed some details about her new baby. But she didn’t reveal everything.
Houska is pregnant with her fourth baby, and this will be her third baby with husband Cole DeBoer. She revealed that the baby is due in February, but mum’s the word when it comes to the baby’s name – and for good reason.
According to a report from PopCulture, Houska is wary of sharing her baby’s name before the right time. “I wish I could tell you guys [about the name]. I just feel like with the baby names, I’m so sensitive I just like to keep them to ourselves until the baby is born. Because I don’t want to hear anyone’s input since I don’t want it to sway how I’m feeling.”
Houska’s reasoning is sound. It’s a frequent occurrence for new parents to receive unwanted and unsolicited feedback about their unborn children’s names. As a public figure with a very active fan base, Houska could change her mind about a name that she has her heart set on, which would be unfair.
As one of the OGs of the Teen Mom 2 franchise, Houska has been there from the beginning and now her time on the show has come to an end after she announced that the current season of the show. Thus far on the current season of Teen Mom 2, she and her husband were tested for COVID-19 and found to be negative. She also announced that she’s expecting again.
Having some time to properly welcome her new addition is probably a good thing. The stress of filming and being a TV personality are hard enough, but it’s even more difficult with a newborn and three other children.
