Katie Price is ‘devastated’ after 6000 people sign petition against her for alleged animal abuse

If you haven’t been keeping up with UK reality star Katie Price as of late, just know she’s had a pretty rough year. Much like most of the world, the 42-year-old model has been affected by the COVID-19 lockdowns, and she’s also faced issues with her eldest son Harvey.

As we previously reported, Katie Price has shared her fears recently about 18-year-old Harvey, who suffers from Prader–Willi syndrome. The mom-of-five has been very candid in revealing that her son had put on excessive weight from overeating, which can happen to people with the genetic disorder.

On top of that, as reported by The Sun, a petition has been created against Katie, and the signatures are racking up. Apparently, people are angry with the star for allegedly mistreating animals, something which stemmed from her puppy passing away this past summer in an accident.

The unfortunate death came after her dog Sparkle was hit by a car and killed. Prior to that, the family’s dog Queenie was also killed by a car.

Clearly, this amount of pet deaths is very alarming, and people are taking action in the form of a petition created earlier this year. The petition asks people to, “Ban Katie price from buying anymore [sic] animals,” and you can check out the page here. It currently has over 6,000 signatures and counting, with people commenting messages such as:

"Animals need to be loved and cared for. They are solely dependent on us humans to do so. Unfortunately KP is too busy selling her soul and family for money. She is a danger to the animal world, what’s happened to her animals is criminal and heartbreaking."

Katie reportedly knows that the petition exists, and sources say she’s “devastated.” The insider explained:

"Katie is aware of this petition. It comes as a devastating blow as it is wholly biased, based on hearsay not actual fact. Katie loves her animals and to say otherwise is incorrect, unjust and unkind. It couldn’t be further from the truth."

Even if Katie Price has good intentions when buying animals for the family, she probably is not fit to take care of them. While we’re sure her children love having pets, it’s not responsible when they’ve had so many accidents.
