Dynasty Season 4 premiere date, cast, trailer and more

Do you miss the Carringtons? Well, you’re certainly not alone, and the countdown to Dynasty Season 4 has officially begun. The third season ended two episodes ahead of schedule in May 2020, and by the time the new season premieres on The CW, a full year will have gone by without a dose of Dynasty.

When we last left the Carrington family and co., Fallon and Liam’s road to the altar was cut short by both off-screen real-life events and a number of bumps along the way, including Blake’s oil feud with the Moldavians and Anders’ apprehensions about the ever mysterious Adam.

The abnormally long wait between seasons has left us wondering how the current state of things will impact the Carringtons and what will come of the open-ended questions left hanging by Season 3’s premature conclusion.

But after months and months and months of waiting, we finally have a solid, official premiere date on the books for the return of Dynasty on The CW. Dynasty Season 4 premiere date

Although Dynasty typically lands a slot on The CW’s fall lineup, the 2020-2021 television season isn’t our normal season. Depending on production delays, some shows returned sooner than others, and some shows rode the bench longer than others. As it turns out, the estimated summer return date for Dynasty was much too generous.

Season 4 begins airing on Friday, May 7 at 9/8c on The CW, following new episodes of Charmed Season 3 on its new night. While it’s being reported that Riverdale’s fifth season will take a pre-planned midseason hiatus, it’s unclear whether that’s the plan for all or some of The CW’s roster to provide the proper timing for new protocols.

You’re probably wondering when Dynasty’s new season will begin streaming on Netflix, but without knowing if Season 4 will take a midseason break during the summer or how many episodes the season will contain, it’s tough to guess exactly when the bingeing can begin. For now, what we do know is that Season 4 will hit your watch list one week after the televised season finale.

Dynasty Season 4 cast

For perhaps the first time in its entire run, Dynasty returns with its whole cast in tact. No surprise departures and no shocking recastings befall the fourth season, ending its three-season tradition of casting chaos. Of course, Elizabeth Gillies returns to lead the cast as the cunning and musical Fallon Carrington, quarreling with her father Blake, played by Grant Show.

Also returning are series regulars Robert Christopher Riley, Sam Adegoke, Rafael de la Fuente, Alan Dale, Elaine Hendrix, Daniella Alonso, Maddison Brown, Sam Underwood, Adam Huber, and Michael Michele. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Katy Keene favorite Luke Cook joins the cast as Kirby’s Australian ex-boyfriend, Oliver, who leads Kirby down a destructive path.

Also, before you ask, it does not seem likely that James Mackay will return as Steven Carrington anytime in the near to distant future. There’s always Season 5?

Dynasty Season 4 trailer and teasers

Even with the date set, first looks at Season 4 of Dynasty have yet to be released by The CW. Gillies has kept us abreast of Fallon’s fashion for the season, but there are currently no teasers and trailers.
