Canceled or renewed TV shows 2021: 15 bubble shows that could go either way
Canceled or renewed: Good Girls
Season currently airing: Season 4
What it’s about: Beth, Annie, and Ruby continue to attempt to outsmart Rio and the FBI. Of course, that’s simply not happening within Good Girls Season 4. The women have had to team up with the Secret Service, but just how much is Beth going to end up working with Rio?
The season gives us more great laughs and exciting storylines. We also get a little more for Annie, who is struggling to connect to her son Ben, who is ashamed of Annie’s financial situation while he’s at private school.
Chances of renewal: This is one of those shows we’re on the fence about. The live ratings are low, but Good Girls has always been like that. The Netflix deal is what’s saved this series each season, and it could save it again. We’re hoping for more, although the show will have to change a few things up to continue the excitement.
Canceled or renewed: Grey’s Anatomy
Season currently airing: Season 17
What it’s about: Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 has been heavily focused on COVID-19. Meredith caught the virus and she’s suffered with it since, even taking us to coma beach where she’s seen many of those who have passed on, including Derek, Lexie, and George.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, the doctors have had to tackle the growing problem of COVID-19. It’s certainly been a hard season to watch, especially since we’re still in the middle of the pandemic. It’s the only medical drama to focus its whole season on the pandemic.
Chances of renewal: It seems odd to think that Grey’s Anatomy is a “bubble show.” It’s not really, but whether it’s canceled or renewed will depend on Ellen Pompeo. Right now, she’s not contracted for Season 18 and if she leaves, the show is done. There are a lot of things to take care of behind the scenes before ABC can make a decision.
