Riverdale season 5 took a small break from its serial killer plotline with Hiram Lodge’s origin story in “Chapter Eighty-Eight: Citizen Lodge,” but we’re back on the case in episode 13!

No one would have guessed that Tabitha and Betty would become a dynamic duo, but we’re in for another team up with the two as Betty looks for ways to close in on the Lonely Highway Killer.

She’d been on his trail before Tabitha called her back to Riverdale in an effort to find Jughead, but now that they’re under the impression the misanthrope is fine, it’s time to hop back on her mission. There’s just one snag.

Betty could keep going up and down trucker routes looking for this man, but it’s not the smart play. No, it’d be better if she lured him in with a trap, and Tabitha has just the solution.

Tabitha and Betty bring all the truckers to the yard in Riverdale season 5 ep 13

That’s right, from the looks of episode 13’s promo trailer, Tabitha is taking a cue from the artist Kelis. With a crew of beautiful women at her side, she’ll be letting their milkshakes bring the truckers to Pop’s. A little skin, a little hip action, and they’ll have themselves a honey trap ready to spring.

Will the Lonely Highway Killer fall for it though? His M.O. is lost, desperate women looking for a way out of town. However, some of the truckers did indulge in some alone time with sex workers at rest stops. Who’s to say a little roadside entertainment won’t bring the killer to Pop’s to see what all the fuss is about.

Tabitha and Betty could be playing with fire but with few leads and the killer still at large, this could be what breaks the case wide open. Who knows, maybe we’ll also find out if Jughead really did get in the killer’s truck at the end of “Chapter Eighty-Seven: Strange Bedfellows.”

Whatever happens, Riverdale is set to give us a show and maybe even another musical number!
