American Horror Stories season 1 concluded with an episode all about the most popular location in the AHS universe, the Murder House. Was the haunted home burned down? Where is the real house located?

Season 1 of the AHS spin-off has some good, bad, and great episodes. With each episode featuring a new story, you never know what you’re going to get! So, even after a terrible episode, we kept watching — and no regrets!

While episodes 1-3 are “okay” (and episode 4 is pretty awful), episodes 5-7 are a lot of fun.

Billie Lourd steps in to save the spin-off in episode 5, while Cody Fern takes over episode 6. And for the season 1 finale, Dylan McDermott and Jamie Brewer reprised their roles.

We’ll admit, we weren’t sure what was happening as we watched, but the episode wraps up nicely. Here’s what happens.

American Horror Stories: Is the Murder House destroyed?

In the season 1 finale, the house is burned down in an attempt to free the spirits living there. This is what most of the lost souls want. All, except for one, Ruby, whom we met in season 1, episode 1.

At the end of the episode, though, we learn that the house was not actually destroyed, it was only part of a video game. American Horror Stories season 1, episode 7 is all a video game.

American Horror Stories: Where is the real Murder House located?

The home is very real, well, maybe not the hauntings, but the actual place. It’s one of the most popular and recognized locations and not much different than how we see it on TV.

It is located at 1120 Westerchester Pl, Los Angeles. You can visit, just don’t go inside, of course, and take a quick picture outside. The home used to be an Airbnb, but it no longer is, unfortunately. Would you have liked to spend the night there?

We’re not sure if American Horror Stories has been renewed for a second season, so we’ll keep you posted! In the meantime, sit tight as American Horror Story: Double Feature is coming on Aug. 25, 2021.
