American Horror Story season 10 theory: Does SPOILER have no talent?

American Horror Story season 10 has premiered the first set of episodes and fans are already coming up with all sorts of theories! But there’s one that stands out the most among viewers. Before we reveal it, consider this your spoiler warning!

Spoiler alert! Please note there are spoilers ahead! If you have not watched American Horror Story season 10 episode 1 and episode 2, get to it so you can read the below.

The first two episodes of AHS: Double Feature introduce Gardner family. They have moved to a seemingly peaceful town so that Harry (Finn Wittrock), a struggling writer, can finally break out of a bad case of writer’s block.

Harry is there with his wife Doris (Lily Rabe) and their young daughter Alma (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). Alma is a very skilled musician and plays the violin extremely well. Harry is a talented writer as well, but he needs help unlocking his full potential.

As you saw in the first two episodes, both Harry and Alma take one of those mysterious black pills and their minds open. Harry begins to see words and come up with brilliant ideas for the script he’s writing, while Alma can now play the violin perfectly.

Harry took the pill willingly, though he is hiding it from his wife. However, Alma saw him take it and that’s why she took one herself. This leaves Doris.

I doubt Doris will take a pill, especially because she’s pregnant. But you have to wonder, IF she took it, will she become the next big interior designer? Or a talentless zombie?

Does Doris on American Horror Story: Double Feature have any talent?

The odd choice of colors Doris has been putting together is a very popular trend. But that’s the problem. It made me think how anyone can do this trend. Not to mention, the fact that she credited social media for her inspiration.

There have also been many hints that tease she may not be as talented as she believes.

Off the top of my head, I remember Doris asking Alma what she thinks of the colors and Alma tells her they all look the same. Alma also comments how one fabric is scratchy and the other is too slippery for a couch.

In another scene, Doris asks Harry if he believes she is talented. He reassures Doris that she is, but that’s what you’d expect any husband to tell their wife.

American Horror Story season 10, episode 3 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 1, only on FX and next day on FX on Hulu. Perhaps this next episode will give us another clue.
