Was that disturbing scene in American Horror Story season 10, episode 3 necessary?

Several American Horror Story: Double Feature viewers were wondering what was going on during a disturbing scene in AHS season 10, episode 3, asking if it was necessary and what purpose it served.

Spoilers ahead if you missed American Horror Story season 10, episode 3! 

The scene in question is Harry (aka the worst dad in the world) meeting up with a woman to kill and drink her blood and, you know, take some blood to-go for his daughter, Alma. It’s his first time going by himself, so, predictably, it doesn’t go according to plan.

Instead, Harry is knocked out and caged by the woman and her partner. The plan is to rape and murder him in the process while recording it for their clients. Yikes, Harry sure walked into a terrible situation, and had the psycho’s camera not malfunctioned, he would’ve been violently killed.

What was the point of that crazy scene in American Horror Story season 10, episode 3?

What was the purpose of that scene? Did anything come out of it? Was it even necessary? The answer to that is, yes and no.

No, that scene was not necessary, but it also was because this is American Horror Story.

New AHS fans may not be aware of this, but the American Horror Story universe wouldn’t be the American Horror Story universe without a disturbing, highly unnecessary scene (or three).

If you’re new, you can expect many other questionable scenes to come! In fact, I’d say this one is nothing compared to others we’ve seen.

On the bright side, Harry escaped before anything happened, so we didn’t get to see anything.

AHS season 10, episode 4 is titled “Blood Buffett,” as if episode 3 wasn’t bloody enough! We can only imagine the horrors ahead! But we’re ready.
