The Wolf Pack is finally reuniting! Four years to the date of when the Teen Wolf series finale aired, MTV announced the beloved supernatural series will be returning via a new Teen Wolf movie event set to continue the story from the hit MTV series.

While perhaps not what fans were hoping for — I too have been praying the powers that be for a full-fledge revival — there is no denying the Teen Wolf movie is going to be an event for the ages and may very well be the first stepping stone to more Teen Wolf projects to come.

Teen Wolf movie cast

Currently, most of the original cast members are attached to return including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, JR Bourne, Seth Gilliam, Colton Haynes, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Ponzio and Dylan Sprayberry. Additionally, Paramount+ has confirmed Crystal Reed will return as well which is interesting given her character was killed off of the show during its third season.

Thus far, it is unclear whether original lead Dylan O’Brien will return. Given their status as leads on The CW’s All American and Superman & Lois, it also remains unclear whether we’ll see Cody Christian or Tyler Hoechlin return.

Teen Wolf movie release date

At this time, MTV has not confirmed the release date for the Teen Wolf movie but it has been announced the movie will debut on Paramount Plus sometime in 2022.

Considering Teen Wolf was a summer staple for MTV, we’re anticipating the movie could arrive sometime in June 2022 — perhaps on June 3, 2022, which would put the film’s release roughly 11 years out from when Teen Wolf first premiered on June 5, 2011.

"A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a Werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced."

Although MTV and Paramount+ have not yet released an official trailer for the Teen Wolf movie, the brands have released an exciting new teaser for the project which offers up our first tease of the new project.

Where to stream the Teen Wolf movie

The Teen Wolf movie is set to stream exclusively on Paramount Plus, which will become home to the show’s entire catalog of episodes beginning in December 2021.
