We might be watching a ton of drama unfold on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 right now, but behind the scenes, the stars are dealing with even more chaos which we’re bound to see in future seasons. Erika Jayne, for instance, is gearing up for her defense in court over the $25 million lawsuit made against her and her ex-husband, Tom Girardi.

In recent weeks, we’ve been getting more and more updates about all the legal woes going on between Erika and Tom, with people coming out of the woodwork to claim that they have another piece of the puzzle regarding money Tom’s allegedly corrupt law firm. RHOBH‘s Sutton Stracke just spoke out on her decision to give Erika a loan, while The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel claimed her late ex Dennis Shields said Tom owed him $500,000.

Clearly, there’s a whole lot of talking going on about Erika and Tom’s finances, and now a report from Radar claims the 50-year-old reality star is trying to get more time before her court date. In trying to prepare with her lawyers, Erika is reportedly trying to stall and has requested two additional weeks.

Tom and Erika have claimed that Erika was not in the know when it came to Tom’s law firm embezzling money, but proving that in the court of law is a different story.

Erika filed for divorce from Tom back in Nov. 2020, but did not give a reason for their split at the time. Despite the claim that their divorce is fake just so Erika can protect their money, Erika has maintained that their split was genuine, even breaking down during an episode of RHOBH this summer over the allegations.

Needless to say, it’s been a tough road for Erika, and we’ll be curious to see where the lawsuit goes from here.
