CBS’s Sunday night programming returned on Sunday, Oct. 10. Just how did it fare in the TV ratings? Here’s a look at the results.

We’re slowly getting back to a normal fall schedule. CBS and The CW debuted new seasons of shows. In fact, The CW brought a whole new series.

The Legends of the Hidden Temple reboot premiered on Sunday, Oct. 10. It was on the low side, though. With just 0.28 million viewers and a 0.1 demo, things are already not looking good but we’ll need to see how things stabilize.

Killer Camp debuted its new season. It was way down from the first season, but we have to remember we’re comparing with a series premiere. Killer Camp‘s ratings dropped during the first season, but the 0.17 million viewers for Season 2 (the first U.S. season) is certainly concerning.

CBS dramas okay, Animation Domination takes over in the live TV ratings

Onto the other networks, the football unsurprisingly won the night. It’s Sunday Night Football. Of course it did.

FOX had the Sunday afternoon game, meaning Animation Domination was up. All the shows saw upward ticks, suggesting that they’re all going to be renewed for new seasons (and we already know The Simpsons is getting another run after this.

CBS will likely see the benefits next week. For now, it was all about the season premieres. The Equalizer Season 2’s premiere was down compared to the series premiere but we do have to note some changes. The series premiere aired after the Super Bowl. Of course the numbers are going down!

They were still good for a Sunday night. 7.47 million people tuned in and the show got a 0.7 demo rating, the best of the scripted dramas.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13’s premiere was slightly down from the Season 12 premiere, but nothing to be concerned about just yet. SEAL Team‘s debut was interesting. The demo was steady and the audience was down 8% from the Season 4 premiere. This show has seen a night change, and only four episodes will air on CBS before moving to Paramount+ exclusively. We’ll have to see how the ratings continue for the new show that will take over the timeslot.

ABC saw its Sunday night shows dip in the live TV ratings. This isn’t a concern for the unscripted programming. It’s The Rookie we’re keeping an eye on. The demo was down 3% and the audience was down 15%, coming in lower than SEAL Team. Is this going to be the final season of the cop dramedy?
