Was Dexter: New Blood episode 10 the end of the series?

Dexter: New Blood episode 10 has left a lot of fans talking. Audiences quickly went to Twitter to express how they feel about that shocking episode. While some fans find it was a good conclusion, others are not happy with how things ended. Is episode 10 the finale? Will Dexter: New Blood season 2 happen?

Unfortunately, Dexter: New Blood episode 10 is the series finale. This means that (at least at the moment) there are no season 2 plans.

What’s next for Dexter: New Blood after the finale?

Initially, we believed that a spin-off would be announced after Scott Reynolds teased an “exciting announcement.” Sadly, that was not the case and I won’t lie, I’m a little disappointed that Scott’s big announcement is a Blu-ray/DVD release of Dexter: New Blood. Don’t get me wrong, I would love a copy to add to my Dexter collection, but I was expecting a spin-off reveal or something along those lines.

I wouldn’t be too discouraged, though! A Harrison spin-off is still possible, Showtime could be waiting to see what fans think and what the numbers are for the finale and overall series. How do you feel about a series that follows Dexter’s son? Or do you feel like New Blood properly closes the door on Dexter Morgan? I have to say, I don’t think Harrison killing Dexter made too much sense, I would have preferred if Angel Batista was the one to end things. But I rather Dexter be dead than go to jail! And I would have been more upset if Angela was to kill him.

Until further notice, we have to accept this as the end of the franchise! If anything changes or there are any worthy announcements, we’ll update this post!
