Jason Momoa joins Fast and Furious 10 cast

How do you know when you have a brand? When you have about six different people, text, DM and call you when Fast and Furious news breaks. The big news today is that Jason Momoa has joined the cast in the 10th installment of the franchise.

F9 was one of the films that brought people back to theaters with a worldwide gross of $726.2 million. While the film box office didn’t reach prior installments, it was still considered a success for coming out when it did. We know Vin Diesel has announced that Fast and Furious 10 would be two parts and the final installments of the franchise (I am shattered).

You won’t find a bigger fan of the franchise than me. (Call me Vin) So you know I have some thoughts on this casting news and what I think could be ahead for the film.

Jason Momoa joins Fast and Furious 10 cast

I am a huge fan of this casting for various reasons, but most importantly, I think how this plays out could bode well for the franchise. I have been dying to see Momoa in a villainous role in an action film for quite some time.

We know at the end of F9, we saw the Cypher (Charlize Theron) was not happy with how things played out. So, personally, I could see him being the hired hitman to take him down once and for all. Momoa has the look, the size and the ability to be that dominant force that is believable to take down Dominic Toretto.

Could Jason Momoa play a good guy in Fast and Furious 10?

Sorry, I don’t think this is much of an option. We already saw the brother (John Cena) come into the fray and not sure we need another star-caliber player on Dominic’s side. I much more like the idea of him being a villain than coming in and being a friend of Dominic’s.
