As each month passes, we know we get more and more movies released in theaters and streaming platforms. With that being said, I share a quick list featuring 7 movies to watch and 4 to skip, because if we’re being honest, they are not always worth it.

With a wide range of streaming platforms releasing new movies and TV shows weekly, it’s hard to prioritize things you want to watch. We try to help you on the movie side of things by sharing the movies we think you should watch and the ones you can skip each month.

With the month having such a loaded slate, it was hard to narrow down the list to what we did, but one thing is for sure: movies are back, and it feels good to say that. So let’s get right into the films we want you to check out in the month of March.

Movies to watch in March 2022

The Batman: In theaters March 4

A little-known movie called The Batman is right around the corner and it is about to make the world go crazy. The biggest release in theaters since Spider-Man: No Way Home features Robert Pattinson in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The cast is loaded with stars, including Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. I am HYPED for this one, as I know all of you are as well.

Fresh: Streaming on Hulu March 4

My favorite movie from the 2022 Sundance Film Festival is hitting Hulu on March 4 and I am excited for you guys to see it. I want all of you to go into this one with little to no knowledge of what happens because it is the type of movie you want to watch and enjoy knowing nothing. The year of Sebastian Stan is here (along with Pam & Tommy) as he gives the best performance of his career in this film. Between the writing from Lauryn Kahn and direction from Mimi Cave, this is a can’t miss movie.

Lucy and Desi: Streaming on Prime Video March 4

Did Being the Ricardos leave a sour taste in your mouth as it did me? Don’t worry, Amy Poehler has our back directing Lucy and Desi. The documentary (also premiered at the Sundance Film Festival) is a beautiful look at the dynamic pairing of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. If you are a fan of the couple, this is the movie for you!

Turning Red: Streaming on Disney+ on March 11

Turning Red was a movie that switched from a theatrical release to streaming on Disney+. Early social reactions have been positive and ever since I saw the trailer, I have been excited to check this one out.

Master: Streaming on Prime Video on March 18

We have another standout film from the Sundance Film Festival in the Master releasing this month. I enjoyed this movie with a great performance by Regina Hall and some incredible direction from Mariama Diallo that had some unique horror sequences that had me in awe.

Everything Everywhere All at Once: In theaters March 25

When the trailer for Everything Everywhere All At Once dropped, I needed it ASAP. Thankfully A24 listened and has the film coming out in theaters at the end of the month. I can’t wait to hear the initial reactions out of the SXSW Festival as it will debut there.

The Lost City: In theaters March 25

Nobody is doing it better than Channing Tatum in the action/comedy space. I try to skip trailers unless I am at the theaters and I finally caught this one before seeing Jackass Forever and I fell in love. Tatum paired with Sandra Bullock with tossing in Brad Pitt and it quickly became one of my most anticipated films of the first quarter.

Movies to skip in March 2022

And for our list of movies to skip in March, we have…

Against the Ice: On Netflix March 2

Haven’t we seen enough movies on Netflix with people battling ice? I swear they reuse some of the same ideas instead of highlighting more original content. Easy skip for me.

The Adam Project: On Netflix March 11

If you are excited about this film, I get it. Ryan Reynolds is just one of those guys that has become a global phenom in everyone needs to see every movie he is in. My biggest issue with him is that he is Deadpool in every film. The movie looks like it may be good, but with so many other great movies to watch this month,  this is an easy skip or wait till I have time type of movie.

Deep Water: On Hulu March 18

We have the release of the Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas that has been moved, dropped, and now thrown on a streaming platform so we can forget about it. The trailer didn’t look good even before the breakup. I have no interest in seeing this disaster but will be excited for the social media discourse over it.

From out list of movies to watch, which are you the most excited to see? Did we miss any?
