Despite being named Bob’s Burgers, there are female characters aplenty. From the immediate Belcher family to side characters, there are a plethora of female characters to love and appreciate.

Of course, most of us Bob’s Burgers fans gravitate towards the main ladies in the Belcher family which are Linda, Louise, and Tina. As with most shows, we all have a character we can relate to and for a lot of people, that’s Tina Belcher.

For those unfamiliar with the show, Tina is the oldest Belcher child, is 13 years old, and is known for both her square-shaped glasses and her attraction to most if not, all boys she comes in contact with. She’s also known for a love of horses, writing, and generally, being an awkward teenager.

If you’re a fan of the show, then you’re more than likely already a fan of Tina or at least tolerate her. To celebrate Women’s History Month, let’s look back at some of the most powerful moments featuring Tina within Bob’s Burgers.

These are some of Tina’s most powerful moments featured in Bob’s Burgers up to Season 12.

Before getting started, there might be some mild spoilers so if you aren’t caught up, be sure to get brushed up on your favorite Tina episodes. With that being said, let’s get into some of Tina’s best and most empowering moments.

While Season 1 of Bob’s Burgers has some solid episodes, Tina didn’t really come into her own until Season 2. “Bad Tina” was Tina’s first foray into being a “bad girl” and things didn’t go exactly as planned. However, her powerful moment came at the end of the episode when she decided to share her “Erotic Friend Fiction” with her entire class and decided to not let Tammy, her best frenemy bring her down. It was the first time we really saw Tina embrace that side of herself and it was nice.

Skipping ahead to Season 4, it seems like “Presto Tina-o” is going to be an episode where Tina acts out of character. Throughout most of the episode, Tina acts completely out of character by trying to get revenge. Despite that, Tina decides to put her upset feelings to the side to save Jimmy Jr’s magic act. While it might not seem powerful at first, it was powerful to see Tina change her mind and actually make things better rather than stick to her guns when it comes to revenge.

Moving onto Season 6, “The Horse Rider-er” is the ultimate Tina episode in which she finally gets to go to horse camp and while things don’t go as planned, Tina decides to go back to her imaginary horse. The reason why this episode empowers Tina is that she decides to take the horse by the reins and do things her own way without letting the challenges of the camp bring her down.

This next moment comes from the Season 8 episode, “Go Tina on the Mountain.” The episode focuses on Tina going on a school trip and deciding to climb a mountain to prove herself. The episode does a great job of showing Tina trying to be an independent person and her realizing that maybe relying on others for help isn’t always bad.

The final empowering moment for Tina came in the season 11 finale, “Vampire Disco Death Dance.” The episode focuses on Tina spending time with Bob as he takes her to a showing of one of his favorite cult movies. The empowering moment comes when Tina decides to ditch her friends and spend the evening with Bob so they’re able to spend the time together. It’s such a sweet moment between the two and it’s clear her relationship with Bob really empowers Tina and makes her feel more secure in herself.
