The night of Hollywood glitz and glam! The 94th Academy Awards ceremony made a comeback to its original home at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles yesterday. The Oscars 2022 is one of the most prestigious award shows out there, and it’s a great honor just to be nominated.

Yesterday’s show was hosted by a great trio – Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes. Some of the night’s highlights include Apple TV+‘s CODA took home Best Picture, Kenneth Branagh won the Best Original Screenplay for Belfast, and Disney’s Encanto was awarded Best Animated Feature.

The night took an unexpected turn between Chris Rock and Will Smith. After Chris made a joke about Jada Smith (Will’s wife), Will went up on stage and slapped Chris. Later during the awards show when Will won Best Actor for his film King Richard, he apologized to the Academy for his behavior.

I guess no awards show can go on without drama, and that certainly happened yesterday. But there’s much to celebrate when it comes to the hard work countless actors, directors, writers, and crew members put into their films. That’s what we should focus on.

The awards show aired live on ABC. But if you missed it, there are ways to stream it.

Where can you stream the Oscars 2022 for free?

At this time, free streaming options for this year’s Oscars ceremony are limited. However, the show is available on demand on the ABC website or the ABC app for U.S. viewers. If you’re subscribed to a television provider like Spectrum, Dish, or Xfinity then you can access the Academy Awards with no additional charge.

According to the ABC website, you should be able to watch the show for free if you don’t have a cable provider, and if you can be a bit patient. Signing in with a participating TV provider is necessary through April 20. After that date, no sign-in will be required.

But if you don’t want to wait that long, then Hulu could be an option. The awards show will be available to watch on the streaming service at some point today. There are couple of options to try out free one-month trials.
