It’s not surprising that the new episode is likely more about Daemon and what he’ll do now that his niece has been named heir to the Iron Throne. The title of the episode is “The Rogue Prince.”

The last we saw of Daemon, he’d taken the woman from the brothel on his dragon and flew away. It’s clear that he’s building a following to reclaim his title as the heir to the throne.
Meanwhile, Lady Alicent Hightower will continue to work in the way her father instructed her to. She needs to comfort the king, and we all know how women were used in the past. Otto Hightower knows that he can use the king’s grief to get him to marry his daughter and further his own power.
That’s going to cause problems for Rhaenyra. She is best friends with Alicent. How will she feel if her best friend becomes her stepmother? All the while, she has to live with the knowledge of The Long Night that’s still to come and will be prevented by her own blood.
