The Patient release schedule: When do new episodes come out?

Steve Carell will be put in a frightening situation with his role in new Hulu series, The Patient. The psychological thriller will see the actor taking on the character of therapist Alan Strauss.

In the limited series, Alan is held prisoner by one of his patients. Sam Fortner reveals himself to be a serial killer, and so the therapist is tasked with unwinding Sam’s disturbed mind to prevent him from killing again. After all, the troubled man kidnapped Alan because of his unusual demand for him – to curb his homicidal urges.

If that wasn’t complicated enough, Alan has to confront his own past and repressed troubles while alone in captivity. With the recent death of his wife and the painful estrangement from his religious son Ezra, he has some major troubles to face.

Alright, so when can you expect to see the upcoming show and when are new episodes released?

When do new episodes of The Patient come out?

The Patient premieres Tuesday, Aug. 30 with the first two episodes on Hulu. Following that release, one new episode will drop on the streaming service, with the finale scheduled for Oct. 25. There will be a total of 10, half-hour episodes.

Joining Carell onscreen are actors Domhnall Gleeson as Sam Fortner, Linda Emond as Sam’s mother Candace, Andrew Leeds as Alan’s son Ezra, Laura Niemi, Alex Rich, and David Alan Grie.
