Who is ready for another glammed-up night in Hollywood!? The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards are right around the corner. The ceremony arrives Monday, Sept. 12!

The three-hour coast-to-coast live telecast begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC. For the first time this year, you can also watch the awards show live on Peacock. All your favorite celebs will take to the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.

HBO Max’s Succession is bound to take home an award, as the series received a total of 25 nominations this year! But, you’ll also want to keep an eye on Euphoria, which earned 16 nominations, as well as Netflix’s Squid Game!

The show can’t go on without a host, right? So who can we expect to see leading the ceremony?

Emmys host: Who is hosting the Emmys 2022?

This year’s Primetime Emmy Awards host will be actor and comedian Kenan Thompson. I’m sure he’s going to be the ultimate Emmys emcee! Be sure to check out the Twitter announcement on the Television Academy’s page. This will be the celeb’s first time hosting the ceremony, but this talent is no stranger to the Emmys stage.

In 2018, Thompson won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for his work on the Saturday Night Live sketch, “Come Back Barack.” Though that was his only win, he’s been recognized by the panel a total of four times, all for his work on SNL.

The comedian has been a part of the cast of the late-night television sketch series since 2003, making him the longest-working cast member in the show’s history. The actor began his career in the early ’90s, probably most recognized at the time for his roles on Nickelodeon’s All That.

For a full list of this year’s nominees, you can visit the Emmys website.
