On Oct. 5, viewers are invited on board a Princess Cruises ship for CBS’ new reality dating show, The Real Love Boat. The series will be stopping at multiple ports to pick up the 12 contestants ready to fall in love aboard the cruise ship.

According to the network, the “Singles” include a shoe designer, firefighter, nurse, teacher, among others who have experienced the ups and down of romance and are now ready to set sail on a seafaring adventure.

Throughout the season, those hoping to find a love match will embark on a trip across the Mediterranean to go on destination dates and compete in challenges to test couples’ compatibility and chemistry.

Relationships will be tested  when new Singles come aboard. And for those who don’t find a match, they will be left behind at port. Contestants will be out at sea for almost a month, with one winning couple taking home a cash prize and getting a trip with Princess Cruises.

The new reality series is inspired by the ’70s scripted show, The Love Boat. The romantic drama/comedy ran for nine seasons from 1977 to 1986. And the upcoming CBS series will have two special guests from the original show – actors Jill Whelan and Ted Lange.

While they aren’t a part of the main cast this time around, we’ve got the full list of members climbing aboard this fall!
