Fans of NBC’s singing reality series, The Voice have been waiting nine months for its return. Season 22 is finally here and already based off the first episode, it was worth the wait!

The Voice fans, of course, are more than familiar with returning judges Blake Shelton and John Legend. Another familiar face to the show is Gwen Stefani. This is her sixth season on the show, making a return following season 19.

So who is the fourth judge this year? The twenty-second season has brought on a completely new face to take a seat on the big red chair.

The Voice season 22 judges: Who is Camila Cabello?

The new addition to the judge’s panel this year is Cuban-born singer-songwriter Camila Cabello! The news that she’d be replacing a departing Kelly Clarkson came in May 2022. It’s very common for the show to have exiting and returning judges. There’s constantly a shakeup when it comes to the coach’s seats.

The 25-year-old talent first started out in the industry on The X-Factor where she was a part of girl group Fifth Harmony in 2012. While with the group, Cabello released solo collaborations and eventually left in late 2016. The Latina is known for multiple hits including “Havana” and “Señorita.” Her debut album, Camila, reached number one on the US Billboard 200.

On The Voice’s premiere episode, the new coach is establishing herself and already has two people on her team. Some of the contestants who made an impact in the first round of Blind Auditions are Morgan Myles (Team Camila), Jay Allen (Team Gwen), and Omar Jose Cardona (Team Legend). No contestant has claimed a spot on Shelton’s team yet, but perhaps a talented artist will find themselves there tonight!
