It’s time for a funeral, and we get to see how the Velaryons do it in House of the Dragon Season 1, Episode 7. After getting Vhagar to kill her since the baby wouldn’t come, the Velaryons will need to say their goodbyes. Daemon and Rhaenyra are also there, and that means they’re together for the civil war that is starting.
We’ve known for some time that the knives will come out. Alicent was going to pull a knife out on her once best friend, and that’s about to happen by the looks of the trailer for Episode 7. Queen and Princess come up against each other, and it’s going to be interesting to see how it all plays out. Is Alicent really going to do something at Laena’s funeral?
Who steals Vhagar in House of the Dragon Season 1, Episode 7?
Meanwhile, Rhaena and Baela find out that Vhagar has been stolen. This was their mother’s dragon, and this is about to be a major storyline. Vhagar was Queen Visenya Targaryen’s dragon, and Visenya was one of the wives (and sisters) of Aegon the Conqueror. In fact, Vhagar and Balerion were siblings, so the two dragons are still important in House of the Dragon.
Is it possible that Lanys Strong has arranged for Vhagar to be taken? That wouldn’t surprise me considering the way he is working things behind Alicent’s back to get her and her sons in power. It could be possible that it was young Aemon instead. He doesn’t have a dragon yet, and what better way to prove his worth in the family than stealing this one?
And how does one go about stealing a dragon? We know Daemon took an egg, but that’s relatively small compared to the second oldest and largest dragon in Westeros.
