The Voice season 23 judges: Who’s in and who’s out?

The Voice has been a staple on NBC since 2011. It would be hard to imagine going a year without the competition series, it’s one of the best out there right now. So it’s great that the show is coming back in spring 2023!

NBC renewed the series for season 23, and we’re so excited! Currently, we’ve got Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Camila Cabello in the big red chairs. Is that going to stay the same going into next year’s season?

The Voice season 23 coaches

• Blake Shelton (returning)
• Kelly Clarkson (returning)
• Chance the Rapper (new)
• Niall Horan (new)

Longtime judge Shelton has been a part of the series since it first premiered over a decade ago. He’s one of the original coaches and has been providing his mentoring skills every season. He’s never missed one!

Clarkson served as a coach from seasons 14 to 21, before deciding to exit the show this year. Newcomer Camila Cabello took her place, but the judge is making a return next year. Judges come and go frequently on the series, so this definitely isn’t out of the ordinary.

In exciting news, the competition is going to heat up with two all-new judges who have never taken a seat on the revolving chair before! Grammy-Award winning artist, songwriter, and record producer Chance The Rapper and singer, songwriter, and former One Direction member Niall Horan have joined and will take their shot at beating their fellow coaches. Carson Daly will also return as host.

Who is leaving The Voice?

After six consecutive seasons, Legend is taking a step back from the show. He first joined season 16 in 2019. Stefani has come and gone over the years. Though she came back for season 22, she will be leaving once again. And finally, after just one season on the series, Cabello also will not return.

Is Blake Shelton leaving The Voice?

Shelton will be on the judge’s panel next year, but season 23 will serve as his farewell season. Overall, he’s had eight wins so far and coached 15 artists whose songs have hit #1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart. It’s going to be so strange watching the show without him!

It wouldn’t happen without you!"

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Episodes are available to stream the next day they air on Peacock.
